The Reason Why I Need The Help Of A Polish To English Translator
Last month I went to Poland from England. Being an Englishman I certainly am not familiar with the Polish language, so I faced many issues due to this. I wanted someone who could have translated the language, i.e. I wanted a translator Polish to English, however I was helpless to find one.
The problems started from the first day of my visit. The hotel I was lodging in interestingly did not have any good English speaking attendants. Just a supervisor was able to converse with me. Right from the door keeper to the waiter, everybody Polish! Frustrated I made a decision to take a walk around the hotel. While wandering, I found a Flower dealer - lovely daffodils and cute roses filled her flower bouquet.
I asked her about the cost of one flower bunch but the woman simply kept looking at me for 5 minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I decided to find a lad who could translate Polish to English. But as I mentioned I searched, but could not find one. The trip hence had this sort of incidences all the while.
Fortunately my work was not of speaking with the Polish people much, therefore I was able to concentrate on my work. Sometimes such events cropped up to amuse me, that people are so reluctant to learn the international language. Yes you may say that was true patriotism, but in the search of real patriotism they lost a few foreign currency that could have had certain influence on the economy!
But I was also ignorant to enter a foreign language country without knowing anything regarding them. Now that I have returned, I am learning the Polish language - at some level. Lastly as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I used a translation Polish to English software for the last sentence)
