Catholic Wedding Day - What Are Some Regulations For Wedding Ceremonies In The Catholicism-Based Tradition?
I am not catholic, but I know many individuals who follow the rules of this religious conviction very carefully. I admire their dedication, and I think they are wonderful people because of it. There are a lot of things in life that are wonderful in theory, but aren't so great in practice. Though a catholic wedding seems to cover what the religious conviction means to those who attend, I have to say it is lacking a little bit. Though who follow this religion are used to the length of the wedding-ceremony and the christian wedding songs, but for someone like me, this is some-thing of a shock. One of my closest friends asked me to be in her catholicism-based wedding day, and I had no idea what I was getting in to when I agreed. I enjoyed the christian wedding songs, but it was lengthy!
The ceremony itself isn't bad, it's the duration of it. It seemed to me that everyone was traveling in stop motion, and that didn't help. A catholic wedding day is a long affair, but that could not be the case if everyone would just go a little faster. You can get things done with-out appearing rushed if you put your mind to it, but it seemed that everyone who was involved in her catholicism-based wedding wanted to take their time, including the people that sang the christian wedding songs.
The duration of the ceremony was a little bit much for me, & the main reason was my choice of shoe. I had to have something with a heel, but I had no idea that I would have to stand in them for an hour. By the time we were halfway done with the catholicism-based wedding wedding-ceremony, I thought my toes were going to fall off. They hurt like mad, and my dress wasn't long enough for me to slip them off for a little ease. I noticed many of the other girls in the wedding were shifting around awkwardly, & when there were moments when we could sit, you could hear an audible sigh of relief from most of the wedding day party.
Over all, though, the catholic wedding was gorgeous, and I am glad that my friend and her new husband had the wedding they wanted, & that everything went smoothly. My biggest problem was that I didn't know what to expect, & that should have been some-thing that I asked as the planning were being made. She was quite aware that we may be uncomfortable, but she was so stressed out that she mentioned this to us much too late. That's okay though, I would do anything for her. I will think twice if some-one else asks me to be a part of a catholic wedding day again though.
